ABOUT Josh Piché

Josh Piché is a Toronto based singer-songwriter, guitarist & producer. Born & raised in Winnipeg, he learned from some of the city’s best musicians & earned his degree from Brandon University School of Music. Piché got his start writing, recording, & performing with many Toronto based artists including Irene Torres & The SugarDevils, The Julian Taylor Band, Nicole Rayy, as well as jazz organist Ike Stubblefield, blues guitar legend Pat Rush, & performed with Brett Kissel on the 2020 Canadian Country Music Awards.
 
Piché’s recent EP has garnered play on many outlets including Jazz FM91.1, CBC Radio. The disc features Steve Pelletier on bass (Colin James, Jarvis Church, Matt Anderson, Julian Taylor Band), drummer Don Pham  (Jarvis Church, Jacksoul), Eddy Ruyter on Keys (Shawn Mendes), guitar session master Mitch Lewis (Prof. Piano, Chuck Jackson, Raffi), Pat Rush (Jeff Healey, Johnny Winter, The Allman Brothers), & guest singer Irene Torres.
 
As a dedicated member of Toronto’s live music community, Josh is also a founding member of Canopy Music Theatre, an open air, socially distanced venue formed in Toronto for musicians during the COVID19 pandemic. The project was featured on CBC National Radio, Blog TO & went on to win NOW Magazine’s Best Live Music Venue 2021. 

 
Josh is currently working on a full length album featuring collaborations with Kurt Nielsen (Banners) Steve Pelletier, Mitch Lewis and co-writes with  Derek Downham (Andy Kim, Broken Social Scene, Serena Ryder)
